Customer Service Representative

Processes orders from quote to invoice, prepares correspondence, and fulfills customer needs to ensure customer satisfaction.


  • Receive and transfer calls in a professional and courteous manner
  • Greet vendors, customers, job applicants and other visitors
  • Maintain phone directory
  • Process incoming mail and distribute
  • Sort and distribute incoming faxes, e-mails. Enter leads/opportunities into CRM
  • Works in conjunction with Regional Sales Managers
  • Some Inside sales generation
  • Initiates and produces quotes
  • Enters customer orders accurately and timely (including change orders, customer master database updates)
  • Checks availability of product, estimated scheduling reconciling customer demand with backlog
  • Attains shipping information and arrangement in conjunction with the shipping department
  • Matches daily packing slips against shipping log; keys, prints and mails or enters to online websites customer invoices
  • Updates customer issues log
  • Create Export Invoices
  • Classify import shipments
  • Provide customers with requested copy of invoices and/or packing list
  • Provide customers with requested tracking information of shipments
  • May be required to perform other jobs and duties as assigned
  • Initiates SRA or RMA (Service Repair Authorizations or Return Material Authorizations)
  • May be required to perform other jobs and duties as assigned

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of customer service experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, organization skills, and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Able to multitask in a fast paced environment
  • Self-directed and able to function independently
  • Adaptable to new computer and software technologies
  • Aptitude and history of identifying and solving business problems
