Job Summary

Radical Convergence is expanding its team and we are looking to hire experienced 3D Riggers and Animators to work across client projects on a full time basis in Reston, Virginia. This role requires a skilled artist with a broad background to craft highly realistic animations of our 3D models. We're looking forward to seeing your resume if this sounds like you.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce high-quality realistic facial and full body animation using hand-key techniques and adjusting captured facial data
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows and increase efficiency
  • Present ideas, feedback, and create documentation relating to core animation workflows
  • Work closely with the art team and engineers to resolve technical challenges where animations/rigging are related
  • Participate in motion capture shoots
  • File management '“ organize work/files efficiently

    • Qualifications:

  • 5+ years game industry experience or related entertainment industry experience
  • Highly skilled Maya user
  • Proficiency in Faceware, Dynamixyz or similar package
  • Proven key-framing knowledge and skill set
  • Worked with facial capture animation data
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a self-directed manner and make timely, well-thought out decisions
  • Strong grasp of traditional animation principles
  • Familiar with FACS based rigs
  • Strong technical problem solving skills
  • Ability to learn new tools quickly
  • Ability to work well under pressure and deadlines
  • Highly organized. Ability to multitask and manage multiple tasks at once
  • Well versed in Facial Anatomy
