Job Description

Radiac Abrasives, a leading manufacturer of conventional bonded and superabrasive grinding wheels is looking for a key account manager to develop business in the Aerospace channel. This position will work from a home office when not on the road. For more than 100 years, Radiac has delivered industry leading technology and quality products and service to the metal finishing industry. Radiac is a TYROLIT Company that is owned by the Swarovski Group which is headquartered in Schwaz, Austria.

The Business Development Manager position will identify business opportunities and build long-term relationships with key accounts in order to increase company revenue and maximize profits.

This Position will:

  • Develop a solid and trusting relationship between target customers and the Company.
  • Develops new business with target customers by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities; solving problems.
  • Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.
  • Develop/maintain strong customer relations and a deep understanding of market needs and competitive offerings
  • Identify new opportunities in target customers and work within the organization to position Radiac solutions to meet / exceed customer needs and competitive offerings.
  • Builds, maintains and shares a sales funnel of prospective opportunities with target customers and demonstrates alignment of sales funnel projects to revenue budgets / targets.
  • Compiles and shares on a regular cadence revenue forecasts for assigned customers, demonstrating alignment – or otherwise – to revenue / budget targets.
  • Builds margin roadmaps for assigned customers to demonstrate the ability to meet margin targets / budgets melding both base business and new opportunities.
  • Builds and maintains product roadmaps for assigned customers showing current and planned product deployment with assigned customers.
  • Manages cash conversion / collections with assigned customers to ensure company’s DSO targets are met.
  • Manages inventory positions relative to assigned customers to optimum positions, and in compliance with company targets.
  • Achieve annual revenue and profit growth targets for the Business Unit.
  • Communicate clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Forecast and track account metrics

To be qualified you must have:

  • A minimum of 5 years in industrial sales
  • An applied knowledge of grinding
  • Preferably am engineering degree or technical discipline
  • The ability to travel 60% of the time
  • Strong computer literacy /CRM
