RSM is currently seeking experienced pharmacy professionals to join RSM’s healthcare practice. The Healthcare Pharmacy Manager will be part of RSM’s national healthcare consulting practice and will provide support for RSM’s existing pharmacy solution offerings and assist with continued growth. The key role of this position is to assist our clients to be successful in maximizing efficiency in their pharmacy technical solutions, and financial and clinical operations.

Understand a mix of pharmacy management software applications such as Cerner Pathnet, Epic Willow, Meditech, McKesson, QS1, HBS, Enterprise, RxConnect,, etc.
Understand various pharmacy operational models: retail, acute, ambulatory, specialty
Understand key pharmacy operations including, but not limited to:
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Inventory control and management
Pricing and supply chain management
Charge capture / Charge-on-Administration (COA) conversion
Charge Description Master (CDM) optimization
Automated Dispensing Machines
Data Analytics / Reporting
Workforce / change management
Perform implementation and optimization projects to maximize pharmacy operations, supply chain, retail pharmacy, ambulatory pharmacy, revenue cycle management.
Work collaboratively to expand services offering that assist our pharmacy customers better operate their systems
Develop and deliver presentations and reports utilizing advanced Microsoft Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and other project tools
Develop project plans, including but not limited to project scope, objectives, schedules, risk/issue management, change control, effort & cost estimates, budgets, stakeholder management, and communications
Attend pharmacy-related conferences to stay current on industry trends and regulations
Work with RSM healthcare consulting leadership to define and execute our strategy to grow the healthcare consulting practice
Build relationships and serve as an pharmacy professional to clients and internal teams
Maintain a very high level of customer satisfaction for all clients
Understand and cross sell other RSM services as appropriate – risk advisory service, financial advisory services, other technology services (e.g., EHR and ERP systems implementation and optimization), and audit and tax services
Travel as needed
5+ years combined experience in pharmacy operations, IT, clinical, or financial areas. Consulting experience a plus or a professional service industry environment.
Solid analytical skills with the ability to look at the big picture and assess local and global impact.
Executive presence; including strong verbal and written communications skills.
Delivers work products consistently with high quality.
Strong technical skills, data analytics, advanced Microsoft Office skills; experience with project management is a plus.
