Job Overview

The Manager of Technical Services is responsible for leading the Technical Services unit of the business, managing multiple Technical Services teams, and managing client service delivery including client relationships as they relate to technology planning, service, and support. The technical scope of responsibility includes network, security, physical and cloud infrastructure, cloud services, endpoints, and service desk operations for managed services clients as well as internal operations. He or she will be a dynamic, forward thinking team member and will work with the internal management team to lead the implementation of best practices in technical service delivery, service desk management, and project execution.

In addition to leading the Technical Services unit, the Manager of Technical Services will have a strong background in network engineering and serve as a senior level resource and escalation point for Technical Services team members. In this capacity, he or she will design and maintain computer networks and assist team members with troubleshooting networking related issues.

Responsibilities and Duties

Manager of Technical Services

Ø Lead, manage, and mentor Technical Services team members in effective solution planning, service delivery, and support.

Ø Develop and enforce policies and procedures based on industry standards; ensure proper documentation and adherence to processes and guidelines.

Ø Work with internal and client leadership to design, deploy, and manage technology solutions in support of business objectives.

Ø Manage service desk support for clients and internal operations.

Ø Lead and coordinate change management processes for clients and internal operations.

Ø Monitor and ensure proper maintenance and support for overall technical environment at client sites and internally.

Ø Ensure availability, integrity, and recovery of technical infrastructure for clients and internal operations; implement Backup and Disaster Recovery solutions.

Ø Manage on-call support process; provide on-call support.

Ø Promotes company values and objectives.


Sr. Network Engineer
Ø Design, deploy, manage, and troubleshoot network architecture.

Ø Possess a deep understanding of client environment to facilitate effective troubleshooting.

Ø Monitor and diagnose technical performance issues both at client sites and internally.

Ø Regularly perform network related maintenance both at client sites and internally.

Ø Conduct frequent assessment/analysis of technical environments; review with clients and propose recommended improvements.

Ø Collaborate with team members on implementing technical security measures.

Ø Update documentation and network diagrams.

Ø Serve as escalation point for team members.

Ø Update job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art technical tools, techniques and equipment, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.

Ø Protect business and client assets by keeping information confidential.

Qualifications

Ø 3+ years of demonstrated experience in a technology management role, or 7+ years in a technically relevant role with increasing responsibility.

Ø Ability to develop and lead strong technical, service-oriented teams.

Ø Experience in ITSM, Process Management, ticketing systems.

Ø Demonstrated experience planning and delivering enterprise technical solutions.

Ø Thorough knowledge of networking principles, firewalls, Wi-Fi networks, Cisco, HP, SonicWALL, DHCP, DNS

Ø Knowledge of Windows environments, Microsoft 365, Azure Infrastructure, Active Directory, and the interaction between hardware, operating systems, network, and application software.

Ø Ability to work under pressure while keeping a strong focus on customer service.

Ø Ability to explain technical concepts to inexperienced users.

Ø Ability to travel to client sites when needed.

Ø Cisco, Microsoft certifications desired.
