Class B Diesel Mechanic

RRS Foodservice has an opening for a Class B Diesel Mechanic to join our Dayshift Transportation team in ASHLAND, VA! This position is responsible for routine maintenance on Diesel Tractors. Works primarily with diesel engines.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance on company vehicles
• Adjust and replace brakes, align wheels
• Raise trucks and heavy parts or equipment using hydraulic jacks or hoists
• Inspect, repair and maintain mechanical equipment and machinery
• Use diagnostic tools to test vehicle components
• Perform quality inspections prior to returning the vehicle to service

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a mechanic
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Class A CDL - Preferred
• State inspection license preferred
