We are hiring a Technology Solutions Specialist who will work from either our Elgin, Illinois, or Chanhassen, Minnesota office to support our national operations teams, account managers, clients, and IT / technology professionals to identify, implement, and support our portfolio of content creation and management technologies that enable our best in class service offerings.
As a Technology Solutions Specialist you will support a broad range of software applications running on Linux, Windows, and MacOS-based computers. This position requires someone who is a self-starter and internally driven. You will have extensive discretion and latitude in completing tasks within the scope of general guidance and defined objectives to meet our customers' needs. Some travel may be required.

+ Operate as part of a national team dedicated to implementing omni-channel digital workflows in support of creative teams, photo studios, and page production groups to drive process improvement through optimization of technology.
+ Perform in-depth discovery of customer processes and business requirements. Document current systems and business process workflows to identify inputs/outputs including critical timing. Develop metadata schemas and mapping details for asset migrations and apply the gathered intelligence to best leverage our technology solutions.
+ Plan and implement rollouts of business process enhancements across a wide organizational landscape of RRD and external client teams. Carry out technical training events for RRD and external client audiences.
+ Provide level one and level two technical support for both external client and RRD teams that will include nights and weekends.
+ May be requested to perform other duties not listed above.
+ Experience using Content Management Systems and soft proofing tools.
+ Working knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager and Adobe Creative Suite applications.
+ Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems by analyzing systems, data and processes and applying knowledge acquired through experience and proficiency in understanding the role of the position.
+ Excellent customer relations qualities including strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to present ideas in non-technical language.
+ Proven analytical acumen and the ability to tackle and solve problems, learn on the fly, manage tasks, and balance priorities.
+ Ability to create documentation and provide succinct and engaging training to others.
+ Working knowledge of basic Linux commands, server-centric network environments and Internet based telecommunications.
+ Self-motivation with an ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
+ Ability to build effective relationships with team members at all levels in an organization.
+ Willingness to work nights, weekends, and travel, if necessary.
