Duties and Qualifications:
The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for making sure that products are within customer compliance. Their duties include: examining shipments of inventory and raw goods, measuring the dimensions of random Products in each fabrication step (ex: laser, brake, weld, etc.), and evaluating cosmetic surfaces to customer specifications.
Specific Responsibilities and Skills:
-Inspect, verify, and document that finished goods meet Customer and ISO specifications.
-Perform incoming inspection of base materials, when applicable, to Customer and ISO standards.
-Perform standard inspection of First Article and Random Sampling Inspection to Customer and ISO standards (hourly inspections of each line).
-Stop production line if major non-compliance of specifications, standards, or quality is found during the inspection process.
-Follow-up inspection of non-complying product that has been re-worked and corrected.
-Complete deviation forms and record findings of the inspection process.
-Complete Non-Conformance Reports for defective products and materials.
-Assist QA Leadership in physical control of non-conforming products and materials.
-Complete operational paperwork validations as required (receiving, production shipping).
-Complete quality-related paperwork as required [QT9] Certificates of Compliance, consumption reporting, etc.)
*Complete staged production audits and documents as required.
*Communicate quality problems with QA and Production Leadership and fellow QC auditors.
*Familiarity with FARO arm CMM machine a plus.
High School diploma or equivalent
Basic computer skills including MS Office
General knowledge of Quality Control and Quality.
