Job Description

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Equipment Service Field Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of wide format printing equipment. The Service Technician will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal functioning of our equipment and providing exceptional technical support to our customers.

Location: DC, Maryland, Virginia Metro Area

Compensation: $28 - $33 per hourĀ 


  1. Installation and Setup:
    • Install and set up wide format printing equipment at customer sites.
    • Ensure proper calibration and configuration for optimal performance.
  2. Routine Maintenance:
    • Perform regular preventive maintenance on wide format printers to ensure longevity and optimal functionality.
    • Conduct inspections and diagnostics to identify potential issues.
  3. Repairs and Troubleshooting:
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues with wide format printers.
    • Execute timely and effective repairs to minimize downtime.
  4. Customer Support:
    • Provide excellent customer service and technical support to end-users.
    • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and provide clear explanations of technical issues.
  5. Training:
    • Conduct training sessions for end-users on the proper use and maintenance of wide format printing equipment.
    • Create training materials and documentation as needed.
  6. Documentation:
    • Maintain detailed records of service calls, repairs, and maintenance activities.
    • Provide accurate and timely reports to management.
  7. Inventory Management:
    • Manage and maintain an inventory of spare parts and tools.
    • Order and restock supplies as necessary.
  8. Quality Control:
    • Ensure that repaired and maintained equipment meets quality standards.
    • Perform quality checks after installations and repairs.

Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Proven experience as a service technician, preferably in wide format printing.
  2. Strong technical aptitude with a solid understanding of wide format printing technology.
  3. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  4. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  5. Strong communication and customer service skills.
  6. Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
  7. Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment.
  8. Familiarity with relevant software and diagnostic tools.

Education and Certifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Technical certifications in wide format printing or related field.
