Automotive Customer Service Product Specialist

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Process orders and returns including those that have been escalated

· Manage assigned tasks and duties that may expand beyond the call center areas

· Identify and provide solutions to complex issues with orders and returns, and other administrative tasks

· Provide details instructions, troubleshooting, and solutions to customers

· Respond to customer queries with information about products and services

· Provide timely responses to high volume call center communications

o Data entry is a large part of this position and will be performed daily

· Provide information or make sales directly to customers via the telephone, through email, or via chat messages

· Collect customer information pertinent to business objectives, such as name, address, demographic and financial information

· Partner with Quality Control to identify and develop resolutions to product quality control concerns

· Understand and communicate advanced concepts related to the products offered by K&N and its brands to both internal

· Retain a solid knowledge of automotive principles, maintenance, and related areas

· Retain technical information and communicate it to customers in an easy to understand manner

· Develop resolutions for technical phone call and e-mail regularly without supervision or assistance

· Support team members through knowledge sharing

· Develop an advanced understanding of multiple brands and product lines

· Other duties as appropriate for the position

A Successful Product Specialist

· Manage projects and tasks without supervision

· Must be able to simultaneously handle multiple duties, manage time, and follow through on all tasks and projects with little or no supervision.

· Be able to regularly enter orders and returns with no to minimal errors

· Maintain a solid knowledge of automotive principles, maintenance, and related areas

· Able to provide training, both internal and external, for the areas of product line(s)

Shows, Events, and Traveling Related

· Travel is required

· Travel for a minimum of 9 shows per year (as assigned)

o Travel assignments are expected to average of 10-15 weeks per year with at least 1 assignment per month minimum

§ Travel may be independent or with other employees or company representatives

§ Travel for shows can include, but are not limited to, races, trade shows, and consumer venues with various product brands

§ Required forms of travel include, but are not limited to, traveling by carpool, company vehicle, display van, personal vehicle, airplane, rental car, or other means of transportation

o Must have a valid Passport, travel may include international travel to Canada or Mexico.

o Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

o Must have a personal credit card for reimbursable travel expenses

o Be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds

· Must be able to work flexible hours, weekdays and weekends as needed for shows, events, training, etc.

o Some events may include working longer than an 8-hour day, 40 hour work week, or flexible hours (e.g. some shows may require working 6am to 8pm or 2pm to Midnight)

· Consistently demonstrate a positive company image and behave professionally

· Setup and preparation to work various booth and display configurations

o Including but not limited to: Pop-up displays, EZ-Up tent setup, Van displays, Truck and Trailer displays and configurations, etc.

Education/Experience

· 1+ years or equivalent of customer service call center experience preferred

· 1+ years of recent hands on and/or practical automotive repair experience required

· High School Diploma or equivalent; some college preferred

· Automotive enthusiasm is highly preferred

· Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

· Typing and 10-key skills with an emphasis on production and accuracy

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for all inbound and outbound customer shipments. Some successful candidates may operate manual and/or power material handling equipment if they are trained and certified.

Responsibilities
• Receive/Lot/Stow/Pick/Pack all inbound and outbound customer shipments, including customer pick up, UPS freight and other freight shipments
• Photography of product for use on our website
• Actively participate in Safety Program, Green Belt and Kaizen activities
• Other warehouse duties as assigned
