II. Position Summary:

The District Sales Manager overseas the Power Tools sector in the local San Francisco Bay Area.

The District Sales Manager leads the sales team, and will inspire the team to successfully achieve the company's revenue goals for the District.

This is a role for a well-rounded sales leader who can hit the ground running, and can drive and motivate team members towards success!

III. Position Responsibilities:

• Manages company sales and marketing policies. Develops short and long-range goals and objectives for the territory / district.
• Directs and coordinates activities of sales and marketing within assigned district.
• Coordinates sales distribution advising dealers, distributors, and clients concerning sales advertising techniques.
• Assist dealers in promoting sales.
• Determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedules and discount rates.
• Develops and executes marketing plans and campaigns.
• Represents Company at trade shows.
• Coordinate work efficiency between sales and marketing departments.
• Analyzes and controls expenditures of territory to conform to budgetary requirements.
• Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volume and forecasted sales.

IV. Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (BA) and minimum of three years related industry experience or five years related industry experience and training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5 years of proven business-to-business sales experience, preferably in the power tool, construction, or building materials industry.
• Proven success in sales management, including strong leadership and a history of training and motivating sales professionals to improve performance.
• A strong understanding of distribution channels.
• Must have great communication skills.
• Must be highly organized and detail oriented.
