Job Description

Our client, a major membership organization, is looking for a Paid Search Marketing Lead to join their marketing organization for a long-term consulting assignment in Washington, DC. This position, which may be performed remotely, will work cross-functionally with business unit owners, campaign managers, project managers, product developers, and other internal stakeholders, and will serve as an internal advocate, educator, and subject matter expert for Paid Search Marketing. This position will also be responsible for tracking, analyzing, and communicating results and insights to share within the organization.



Optimize programs to drive both desktop and mobile site traffic, conversion, and ROI

Track, report, and analyze results

Develop annual and short term paid search marketing campaigns

  • Provide strategic direction based on historical results and organizational goals
  • Identify new opportunities
  • Identify risks based on market trends
  • Prioritize projects and develop roadmap for execution

Work with vendors

  • Providing direction
  • Oversee deliverables
  • Manage scope of work
  • Campaign interactions

Work with internal stakeholders

  • Highlight priorities
  • Develop roadmap for implementation
  • Deliver insights on performance
  • Interact with the legal team for content review

Daily management of budget and campaigns on all major search engines

  • Determine budget needs
  • Forecast performance
  • Re-allocate budget based on results

Optimize campaigns

  • Optimize bids
  • Drive campaign and keyword discovery and expansion
  • Optimize copy and landing pages
  • Collect and analyze data
  • Identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Analyze competitive space
  • Improve Quality Scores
  • Develop testing roadmap



  • BA/BS degree
  • 3+ years of Paid Search Marketing experience
  • Digital and multi-channel marketing experience
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills
  • Proven ability to drive KPI's across platforms
  • In-depth experience managing PPC campaigns across Google, Yahoo and Bing
  • Experience with bid management tools
  • Experience with Omniture or other website analytics tools
  • Experience with Adobe Media Optimizer (AMO)
  • Experience with MarkMonitor or similar platform
  • Experience with crawling products
  • Experience with A/B testing
  • Experience managing budgets
  • Up to date with the latest trends and best practices in Paid Search Marketing
