IT Project Manager/ Software Engineer

RIG Consulting is seeking a IT Project Manager/ Software Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for streamlining processes and creating reports that help us achieve our business goals.

Responsibilities:

• Manage several different IT initiatives/projects, monitoring their progress, completion, adherence to deadlines, project deliverables, and budget
• Work collaboratively with other members of the team to identify and address business needs

• Develop, test, and maintain software solutions that streamline processes and create reports
• Analyze and interpret data to identify trends and provide insights
• Create technical documentation to ensure proper usage and maintenance of software
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices
• Continuously learn and improve skills to stay up-to-date with new technologies and programming languages
• Administer and control the IT budget, finding the right balance of services and cost
• Oversees the development and deployment of company-wide technology standards and ensure compliance with overall corporate policies and standards
• Develops and maintains relationships with external IT vendors and service providers
• Manage IT vendor contracts and coordinate all IT asset procurement

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
• Knowledge of software development life cycle and experience in agile methodologies
• Experience working with databases 
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable with common programming techniques
• Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively within various levels of the organization
• This position is NOT remote. Candidate must be able to work out of Pittsburgh, PA office full time.
