A degree is not required for the job but preferred. Less than 5% travel, primarily based in office (after COVID-19 restriction lift) at 850 Stillwater Rd, West Sacramento. Also, project background; SAP enterprise work management experience preferred (understanding zNOTIF and ZORDER) or the ability to learn quickly. This position will largely lead business process improvement efforts and will need to understand how enterprise work management systems work and learn how the actual work gets done in the field (utility pole replacements). They absolutely must be a self-starter and comfortable reaching out to other organizations to engage stakeholders for input into process design changes. Lastly, they should be able to extract and analyze data and make into a useful format in Excel / PowerPoint for presentations to leadership. This is a working position and the ideal candidate will be able to not only manage changes, but participate in work management activities (roll up their sleeves and get the work done).
Five or more years experience as a Project Manager and or Sr. Business Analyst. Previous utility experience. Knowledge of and demonstrated experience in all aspects of project management. Experience in one or more of the following: Project Management System Implementation Change Management Product Management Desired Qualifications Ability to motivate, create enthusiasm and excitement. Ability to provide creative solutions in systems and process design. Ability to solve complex problems or situations: appropriate solutions determined from available choices and well-established guidelines. Job duties involve innovation and analysis to resolve problems. Strong communication and negotiation skills and the ability to render good judgment and sound decisions. Excellent presentation and organization skills for work in a collaborative environment. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and other project management tools.
