Job Description

General Purpose: The Operations Supervisor, Patient Escort, and Concierge Associate is responsible for leading the Patient Escort team, who are responsible for achieving customer service excellence throughout the Patient Experience. The supervisor directs and maintains an efficient patient flow, visual control, and way-finding. The Supervisor shall oversee and maintain operations in a safe, efficient, and courteous manner to patients and visitors throughout the campus, while also managing COVID-19 screening procedures and excellent customer service. The Operational Supervisor will act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the PACT care model.

Major Duties and Responsibilities: This job description is intended to cover the minimum essential duties assigned on a regular basis. The Supervisor may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned by their leader. Leadership has the right to alter or modify the duties of the position.

· Supervises, trains, mentors, and motivates the patient escort and concierge team to maximize the use of the PACT care model.

· Ensures that payroll is completed on a biweekly basis.

· Assists in the development and enforcement of departmental policies and procedures.

· Prepares and conducts departmental meetings and maintains records of attendance and orders supplies as needed.

· Sets goals for performance deadlines in ways that comply with the company’s plans and vision. Follows established departmental goals and reports on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis.

· Monitor team’s productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching.

· Provide training to the patient escort team as required

· Receive complaints and resolve problems.

· Organize workflow and ensure that the team understands their duties or delegated tasks.

· Serves as the first contact patients have with their care.

· Is a subject matter expert on all aspects of escort functions including knowledge of the entire patient flow cycle.

· Proactively contributes to the Hospital's mission; Care, Advocate, Teach and Serve with special emphasis on our Veteran population.

· Creates and maintains staff schedules and manages operations for areas of responsibility.

· Monitors productivity and works to proactively reduce inefficiencies.

· Provides daily staffing updates to leadership and support staff members.

· Measures turnaround (transport) times via transport module software and other tools.

· Expert in transport and staff training on stretcher, wheelchair, staxi or other modes of hospital transport.

· Assist patients with getting in and out of vehicles as well as assist with removal of wheelchairs, walkers and personal medical equipment from vehicles.

· Provides friendly and courteous customer service to all customers.

· Actively participates, communicates, and engages with valet staff and shuttle drivers to deliver the highest level of service.

· Assists in maintaining adequate availability of equipment and supplies.

· Ensure adherence to legal and company policies and procedures and undertake disciplinary actions if the need arises.

· Performs other job-related duties as required.

Qualifications and Work Experience:

· Personnel shall be at least 18 years of age and be able to perform all general duties, functions, and activities as required.

· US citizen or legal resident.

· Associate Degree preferred.

· CPR-BLS required

· 3 years of supervisory experience required in a medical environment.

· Must have experience in a Community-Based Medical Facility

· CNA/CMA/HHA

Skills or Special Abilities:

· Perform a variety of operational, clerical and patient service duties.

· Operate multiple different types of motorized beds, stretchers, and wheelchairs.

· Fluent in the English language and can read and write.

· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to represent RG Solutions in a positive manner. - Must exhibit caring, service-oriented behaviors toward people encountered and be able to defuse emotionally charged situations.

· Apply sound judgment toward satisfying a variety of questions and problems from patients and visitors.

· Follow both oral and written directions.

· Communicate effectively with patients, family members and other hospital personnel.

· Basic math skills.

· Medical Terminology
