RFA Engineering  (www.rfamec.com) is seeking an entry level to experienced candidate to be part of our engineering team at our customer's facility in Moline, IL. You will work with our experienced engineering staff and our customer's staff to provide highly engineered, optimized designs of Off-Road equipment using state of the art engineering tools.

Our customer's facility is a world-class engineering and manufacturing center. These are full time positions that are indefinite in duration with opportunity for professional growth, direct hire by our customer, and opportunity within our own organization.

Quality Engineer

Support our customer's fabrication operations in Moline, IL. This job includes responding to process and part quality issues to ensure robust and effective fabrication and assembly operations, and delivery of high quality parts to the vehicle assembly line. Strong communication skills and ability to work and prioritize in a fast paced environment are critical for success in this position.

Description

  • Work with product line to identify, prioritize, and document reliability trends to resolve quality issues

  • Improvements of product reliability and customer satisfaction through support of New Product Introduction programs.

  • Track Quality Metrics provide feedback to design teams on gap analysis

  • Identify improvements or deterioration in product quality levels

  • Weibull Analysis to identify root cause failures and determine future failure rates.  

  • Develop recommendations for field action

  • Provide Data analysis for quality assessments to provide statistical vantage points

  • This is a full time position: 40hrs/week with some overtime, usually less than 10hrs/week and some (rare) Saturdays as needed. 

  • Hours are flexible between 6am & 4pm, but must start daily by 7:30am. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering or related field required

  • Ability to work on numerous tasks concurrently

  • Must have extensive knowledge of principles, and procedures of Mechanical Engineering to include the design process from concept through manufacturing

  • Familiar with Product design process, SQE, and manufacturing experience

  • Basic Microsoft Office skills

  • Must have excellent Communication Skills – must be able to communicate well with wage, salary, and management personnel.

  • Must be results driven, be able to work independently, prioritize work, and complete projects following the 8D problem resolution methodology.

  • Must have experience working in a team environment – must be able to be held accountable to a team and hold other team members accountable to ensure we are able to meet our quality goals.

  • 1+ Years of quality and/or fabrication and/or engineering experience required. Internships are acceptable as experience.
