Electrical Harness Designer

RFA Engineering (www.rfamec.com) is seeking growth oriented entry to mid-level t candidates to be part of our engineering team in Chattanooga, TN. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will work heavily  with our customers engineering staff to support new development and testing of off-road vehicle electrical systems.
 
Electrical Harness Designer

Description

• Design / Alter current designs of harness, hardware, sensor, and displays 
• Assisting clients product improvement teams regarding electrical system components
• Component selection, development, and integration of vehicle wire harness
• Testing and troubleshooting electrical systems
• Working with manufacturing, quality, and supply management teams
• Providing engineering support to vehicle and attachment teams

Requirements

• BS or AAS in Engineering Technology or equivalent trade school electrical certification
• 1-5 years of electrical system experience
• Capable of reading creating electrical schematics
• Candidates must have excellent communication, teamwork, and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with wire routing in Creo or other CAD package
• Travel: Minimal, less than 10%

Desired Attributes

• 1-5 years product development experience
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong mechanical apptitude
• Knowledge of off-road equipment
