JOB:  Office Administrator

LOCATION:  REMCO Office, Pelham, Alabama

EMPLOYMENT/FLSA STATUS:  Full Time, Regular, Non-Exempt

NORMAL WORKING HOURS:  8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday through Friday

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

As an Office Administrator, you are responsible for the coordination of office activities and operations while providing clerical and administrative support to management.  You will:

  • Direct office activities and functions to maintain efficiency and compliance with company policies;
  • Assist support staff with their assigned duties, particularly when more advanced, skilled, or sensitive work is required;
  • Prepare agendas and maintain calendars for senior management;
  • Prepare travel arrangements for employees and technicians when requested;
  • Perform staff/tech onboarding in conjunction with the assigned manager;
  • Liaison with our IT partners to support our network infrastructure, to include account creations, workstation assignments, telephone services, email correspondence, and email distribution lists;
  • Maintain office supplies inventory;
  • Maintain records, documentation, and files, particularly more complex or sensitive files when requested by senior management;
  • Manage the Facilities Routine Maintenance/Upkeep Program;
  • Perform other related duties as assigned;
  • Follow safe work practices and accident prevention procedures.


ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines;
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills;
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate;
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment;
  • Basic understanding of how to operate standard business equipment;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in office administration or related field preferred;
  • At least three years of administrative and clerical experience required.
