DIRECTOR MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS

Our clients is a top Commercial Construction Company in Florida and we are seeking an experienced successful Marketing Director.

1. Creation of Responses to RFQ's for CM and Design Build Proposals utilizing appropriate software such as Microsoft Publisher, Photoshop, Power Point, etc. The Marketing Director is responsible for coordinating the content of the RFQs with the leadership, including necessary staff resumes, project sheets, narrative content, supplemental forms, financial statements, etc. Maintain a calendar of due dates and promote regular intermittent deadlines for completion of content

2. Creation of presentation materials using PowerPoint and other software as necessary for Formal Presentations to potential clients. Responsibilities will be similar to the RFQs in that drafts will typically be created from past presentations. Marketing director will regularly be looking to refresh the style and content of the presentations in keeping with available technology

3. Maintenance as required of web presence to keep fresh and current information available for public review. (review weekly)

4. Pursuit and coordination of all opportunities for press releases, advertisements, and possible write-ups in local publications. (press releases to occur on a weekly basis)

5. Pursuit of available industry awards and other forms of recognition and rankings as well as the creation of documents required for consideration for these awards, recognitions and rankings.

6. Creation or assisting in the creation of future generic marketing materials for general public use such as brochures, flyers, and folder inserts for both the building and civil divisions

7. Obtaining photos of existing projects or past completed projects.

8. Organization of marketing materials in the office in order to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of our efforts.

9. Maintaining the company clipping file

10. Coordination of future groundbreaking, ribbon cutting, and topping off events for the purpose of potential media exposure and client relationships.

11. Develop and maintain a media relations plan that provides for marketing opportunities as well as emergency response issues.

12. Develop and maintain potential client list including key officials in our local market

13. Develop and maintain a marketing budget for each fiscal year that must be presented to and accepted by the Management Team

14. Track marketing efforts for each year, i.e. projects submitted, short listings, presentations, awards, etc. 15. Assist in the area of employee relations through organization of special events and communications; i.e. Christmas Party, company luncheons, special employee recognitions.

Minimum Requirements

  • 5 – 10 years of experience in business development
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Prior experience with a General Contractor or Construction Management firm desired
  • Understanding of construction and commercial real estate helpful
  • Knowledge of software programs
  • Broad understanding of industry
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong management skills
  • Functions effectively as part of a team
  • Exhibits strong leadership qualities
