We are seeking an Operations Manager to become an integral part of our team!
Operations: Plan and schedule all distribution services including receiving, storing, shipping, maintenance, and administrative activities to ensure customer requirements are met. Maintains ISO and SQF compliance.
Labor Management: Direct and oversee job assignments and plan daily labor schedules. Direct warehouse supervisory personnel to achieve prescribed objectives. Reduce or alleviate any unnecessary overtime. Match the skill and background of personnel to the work required. Apply sound communication and motivational techniques, create programs to supervise, coach and discipline associates. Maintain the required performance evaluation system for recommending promotions, wage increases, and terminations.
Administrative Functions: Must ensure the accurate and timely preparation, processing, distribution and retention of all necessary reports and records regarding warehouse operations. Must ensure accurate invoicing is completed timely. Responsible for preparation of department budget.
Equipment/Safety: Monitor the cleanliness and working condition of all equipment and oversee adjustments and/or repairs as necessary. Implement and monitor programs to ensure the safety of all personnel, equipment, and property. Provide safety instruction to personnel as needed. Report all work-related injuries in compliance with current policy.
Housekeeping: Ensure all equipment, as well as the facility, is maintained in the utmost professional manner.
Inventory Management: Ensure current and accurate inventory control for each account to your facility.
Shipping/Receiving: Ensure that customer orders are picked and shipped in a timely fashion within the prescribed cost levels. Develop and implement an effective receiving operation that minimizes cost and ensures receiving paperwork is process accurately and promptly.
Security: Assist in ensuring the security of the facility, its employees, and contents. Conduct regular instruction in good security practices.
