Electronic Assembler Job Description

You will be part of a team that manufactures industrial electronic devices used to secure critical infrastructure all over North America. We have been in business since 1948. You will be a motivated self-starter who takes pride in your work and is always interested in learning and growing. You will be responsible for preparing sub-assemblies as a part of the production process.

SUMMARY
Under limited supervision, performs various repetitive electronic assembly operations on components or subassemblies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs various repetitive electronic assembly operations or components or subassemblies with the use of hand held tools.
  • Under limited supervision, may use schematics or blueprints, wiring lists and verbal and written instructions to assemble, modify, rework or reassemble units.
  • Verifies the proper parts and quantities are received and assemble the control units with limited instructions.
  • Perform any combination of the following tasks to solder or unsolder electronic components, subassemblies, products, or systems
  • Performs specific back-end manufacturing functions in the production of industrial electronic devices.
  • Connect component lead wires to printed circuit or routes and connects wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points, using soldering, or related bonding procedures and equipment.
  • Install finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets.
  • Performs standard testing and minor and major troubleshooting.
  • Must maintain product quality and workmanship standards.
  • Interacts with management and team members to encourage effective communication on production floor.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Typically requires a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), and one to two years related experience.
