Environment Health & Safety Specialist/Asbestos Inspector

We are looking for an (EHS) Environment Health & Safety Specialist.

In this role, you must train employees on safety policies and practices, conduct regular inspections, generate health and safety assessment reports, and ensure that all occupational guidelines and regulations are adhered to. You should demonstrate a detailed knowledge of health and safety regulations and strong leadership skills.

Environmental Health and Safety Responsibilities:

• Meeting with the management team to define EHS goals and objectives
• Training employees on health and safety policies and best practices
• Develop, implement & maintain health and safety programs
• Providing solutions and intervention strategies for hygiene, health, and safety hazards.

· Investigates accidents, injuries, and complaints concerning hazards

• Generating assessment documentation, incident and accident reports, and health and safety manuals

Environmental Health and Safety Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, safety management, or similar.

· Colorado Asbestos Building Inspector or Air Monitoring Specialist (AMS Preferred)

· A minimum of 2 years of experience

· Regulatory compliance audit fieldwork

· One or more of the following certifications: EPA Asbestos Management Planner, EPA Asbestos Project Designer, EPA Asbestos Supervisor, EPA Lead Inspector Technician Certification, EPA Lead Risk Assessor

· Project management experience related to asbestos/hazmat

· Industrial hygiene and indoor air quality experience

· Mine Safety & Health Administration trainings
