CHIN is seeking a proactive Human Resources (HR) Generalist to handle day-to-day operations of the CHIN human resources department. Under the Director of Talent Development, the HR Generalist will support both the firm and its people by performing all HR-related administrative tasks; ensuring compliance in accordance with federal, state, and local laws; providing data, reports, knowledge, insights to the talent director as needed; and by facilitating HR processes in a team framework with the accounting/finance, information technology, marketing, and operations departments. All CHIN candidates must demonstrate a willingness to acquire new responsibilities and skills, and work in a team environment.


Working closely with the Director of Talent Development, the HR Generalist will assume ownership of all human resources internal processes, including counseling employees on company policies and offering guidance on employee relationships.

    • Offer letter generation
  • Benefits administration
    • Serve as first point of contact for all employees, including during open enrollment
    • Work with broker, carriers, and third-party administrators
    • Stay abreast of market trends for benefit offerings
    • Process leave requests
  • Onboarding / offboarding
    • Facilitate pre-employment tasks
    • Create onboarding schedules
    • Coordinate with CHIN Managers and all departments on relevant onboarding / offboarding tasks
    • Guide new employees through paperwork and orientation
    • Ensure proper new hire reporting and benefit enrollments
    • Schedule exit interviews
  • Employee engagement
    • Coordinate Lunch & Learn programming
    • Support employee credentials tracking efforts
    • Support training events
  • Performance management
    • Facilitate and track annual CHIN Check-Ins (3 documented, conversations per year)
  • Talent development
    • Assist with presentation content and creation, including the use of PowerPoint
    • Assist with all efforts to provide training and professional development to employees
  • Compliance management
    • Ensure adherence to all DOL agencies' standards – build on established company policies by working with various firm resources, including employee benefits broker
    • ACA reporting
    • COBRA administration
    • OSHA administration
    • Fulfill legitimate employment verifications
    • Fulfill legitimate badge-audit requests
  • Special project, as needed
    • Support and contribute to internal programs with the purpose of attracting, developing, and retaining top talent
    • Assist with implementation efforts of any new HR systems / employee-facing internal portals

  • Education – Bachelor s degree in Human Resource Management or high-related discipline
  • Experience – 2 years' relevant experience
  • Certification – PHR or SHRM-CP a plus
