Area Sales Manager
- Full-Time
Primary Function: A dynamic person who is customer orientated with solid technical background.
This role will involve regular travel in excess of 50% for customer visit in US.
The successful candidate will be expected to understand the technical nature of the product and process as well as the integration of the product into composite materials.
Candidate will need to have Technical Textile, Automotive and Aerospace market knowledge in a composites industry.
The candidate must have a strong network and connection within these two industries and must have a proven background of relationship to OEMs
Main Achievements:
Sales growth of product – New customer acquisition – Techno-push – Sale solutions
Collect new customer needs as part of the Commercial development strategy of Porcher and develop sales to existing customers
Supervision: Head of Sales – Americas – Aero/Defense - Automotive
Job Responsibilities:
Commercial:
· Implementation of sales/commercial strategy for the function and responsibility, according to the group’ strategy and overall objectives. – Business development - New Prospection-Customer acquisition – New project acquisition
· Participates and builds comprehensive sales budget with line manager and follow progress to deliver.
· Achieve business/sales objectives according to budget – Implement specific corrective action if any deviation/gap.
· Proposes and initiates growth sales plan and track progress about results achieved.
· Build sales strategy to get qualified/book shelved at OEM levels in collaboration with R&D.
· Build comprehensive sales reporting on performance/progress of his area base and customer portfolio.
· Regular reporting on market trends, customer relationships, customer acquisition, new projects with line manager.
Preferred Qualifications
· Engineering/Material Background-Education in material/Composites Thermoplastics-Technical Textile with complementary education in business
· 5-10 years Downstream Commercial experiences in Composites/Technical Textiles and ideally parts manufacturing and composites processing.
· Strong network in automotive and aerospace.
· Sales/Customers oriented – Strong negotiation ability
· Strengths: customer & solutions oriented, open, autonomous, interpersonal skills
· Strong potential for fast growth in organization
· Participates in trade shows / Associations / Clusters
· Follow customer satisfaction and propose any improvements.
· Support to solve complaints.
· Understand technical requirements and processes of customers.
· Proactive on new development and customer needs in collaboration with internal Technical service department
- Ability to travel upwards of 50%.
