Job Description

QuickFire Logistics is looking for a HR Associate to perform various HR and administrative functions including but not limited to job posting management , screening, interviewing and onboarding associates.

QuickFire Logistics, an Amazon Delivery Service Partner, is a package delivery business operating in Danbury CT. We provide the last mile delivery of Amazon packages to homes and businesses in the Mid Hudson Valley.

A successful HR Associate candidate will be responsible for recruiting, screening, interviewing, hiring and onboarding new employees and will have great organizational skills. Candidate will also perform additional tasks and duties relating to HR. To be a competent HR Associate, you should be patient and compassionate, have excellent listening skills, and be able to multitask effectively. Candidate will report directly to the owner.

This position will be a combination of on-site and virtual. It will require reliable transportation to / from Danbury CT. Candidate should have familiarity with web-based ATS services, job boards, video-conferencing platforms, and video-interview platforms as well as have full control of microsoft office suite including excel.

This position is part-time with a schedule to be determined. We are looking for someone who will split time between initially working remotely and eventually from our office. This position has the potential to become a full-time position in the future.

Job Responsibilities


  • Collaborate with owner to develop an effective recruitment strategy.
  • Manage Job Boards (Indeed, Facebook, Craigslist, etc).
  • Plan and execute in person career fairs and hiring events.


  • Review all applications and determine next steps in the hiring process.
  • Following up with applicants to make sure they complete their entire application.
  • Answer any applicant questions about the application process, training process, or job requirements via phone, text, and email.


  • Conduct Initial screening interview via phone, video-conference, or in person.
  • Schedule applicants for one way video interviews.
  • Schedule applicants for final interview with owner.


  • Send offer letters to successful applicants.
  • Make sure all necessary hiring paperwork is filled out correctly and is on file.


  • Setup internal employee accounts.
  • Guide employee through background checks and screenings.
  • Schedule employee for trainings.

Other HR Duties:

  • Assist with scheduling.
  • Assist with time and attendance monitoring.
  • Assist with payroll processing.
  • Respond to human resources-related inquiries from Team Members.


  • Demonstrated knowledge of the human resources field.
  • Understanding of personnel and compliance records management.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Familiarity with logistics or delivery jobs (Postmates, DoorDash, Amazon Flex, etc.)
  • Familiarity with transportation jobs (Uber, Lyft, etc.)

Must be willing to accept training as a Delivery Driver to better understand our business. We believe that it is impossible to hire, train, and coach effectively without knowing the job firsthand.
