- Interview patients, measure vital signs and accurately record information in the medical record.
- FRONT OFFICE: ADVANCED EXPERIENCE IN INSURANCE VERIFICATION EXPECTED. WE WILL NOT INTERVIEW ANY APPLICANT THAT IS NOT PROFICIENT IN VERIFYING HMO, PPO, MEDICARE, MEDICAL ETC. IF YOU DON'T HAVE THAT THAT SKILL, YOU WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION.
- Assist patients as needed with walking, transfers, dressing, collecting specimens, preparing for exam, etc.
- Prepare exam room for patient visits, and clean exam rooms between visits and maintain infection control.
- Sterilize instruments, equipment and surfaces. Autoclave experience required.
- Consistently demonstrate correct handling of procedure specimens per provider orders, including appropriate identification, labeling, dating and disposal of the specimen.
- Perform in-house testing, procedures and injections/immunizations as directed by provider, always following correct techniques and procedures.
- Phlebotomy - Knowledge of lab tubes and colors required.
- Venipuncture - Comfort in drawing blood required.
- perform EKGs
- Urine dips, pregnancy testing, rapid strep, rapid flu - experience required.
- Document all appropriate patient interaction including phone calls and family discussions, in the medical record.
- Provide care team coverage including, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and checking in (or out) patients.
