Sales Account Manager

Position Description
We are seeking a motivated, ambitious, and competent Account Manager to join our Queen Foods sales team. Queen Foods has been supplying quality meats, seafood and more to Greater Kansas City and the surrounding area since 1991. Our mission is to always deliver quality products with premium service. We carry poultry, beef, pork, seafood, produce, and dry goods.
If you enjoy managing relationships, providing exceptional customer service and finding new business - this is for you! As an Account Manager, you will display excellent customer service and communication skills. You should also act proactively to address client needs and facilitate the order process from beginning to end. Ultimately, you should help our customers get the meat and seafood products they need in a friendly, reliable manner.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain key accounts, functioning as the main point of contact for clients
- Establish best practices to increase sales and improve customer experience
- Facilitate the presentation and delivery of products to customers in an efficient and effective manner, ensuring a smooth process from order to delivery
- Stay up-to-date with sales and delivery process by:
- Communicating with Warehouse Inventory Coordinator
- Communicating with Buyers
- Communicating with Drivers
- Studying inventory reports
- Respond, manage, and resolve customers complaints or objections; this may include ensuring timely payment with customer terms, ensuring proper credits are given/recorded and managing expectations
- Learn current and new products, pitch current buyers on new product SKU’s and opportunities
- Set up meetings with potential clients to understand their needs and pitch Queen Foods as a trusted partner
- Collaborate with team members
Position Requirements and Skills
- Bachelor of Business Administration or Marketing required
- Proven experience in Customer Service, Customer Experience, Account Management or relevant role, whether retail or food service, at least 3 years
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not required
- Client-facing experience with customers and managing expectations
- An ability to grasp client needs and to increase customer engagement
- Passion for creating an excellent customer experience
- High attention to detail (understands importance of inventory accuracy and invoice accuracy)
- Excellent communication and organization skills, leading to collaboration skills
- Initiative-taking with a results-driven approach
- Analytical and time-management skills
