SUMMARY AND DETAILS OF POSITION
We are currently seeking a Financial Analyst, Clinical Operations team member to join the Finance and Administration Team. Reporting to the Sr. Financial Analyst, the Financial Analyst will hold a variety of roles related to milestone financial analytics, site payments reporting, and reconciliation of the financial clinical operations activities.
Principal Responsibilities
The Financial Analyst, Clinical Operations will support the finance team, to drive business results, processes and analytical support. Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Ability to interoperate data and make decisions based on findings.
- Create clinical financial data analysis reports utilizing large data sets and automated tools.
- Collaborate with Clinical Finance and Data Informatics teams on identifying milestones to be invoiced on behalf of sites.
- Prepare and submit invoices based on milestone completion for all clinical trial sites.
- Provide timely customer support for site questions regarding billing, payments, and milestone status.
- Analyze clinical site contracts (CTA) and understand details of the agreement.
- Analyze and reconcile the clinical site billing to data delivery.
- Work with Data Informatics team to navigate through variances of data delivered and payments processed to sites.
- Monitor and reconcile patient milestones to ensure billing is following appropriate procedures and workflows.
- Work closely with Sr. Financial Analyst to understand data requirements for milestones and ad-hoc payments as well as data reporting across all sites.
- Work on analyzing and maintaining I-SPY master payments database for all protocols to enable accurate reconciliation for invoicing and historical payments reporting.
- Provide ongoing support on site invoicing reconciliation to determine if an invoice should be approved or rejected for payment.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Management or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in finance, financial analysis, accounts payable, procurement, budgeting or similar.
- Pharmaceutical or Clinical Trial Sponsor industry experience is a plus.
- Proficient experience in software database and workflow tools.
- Intermediate to advanced use of Excel is required.
- Intermediate working knowledge of PowerPoint and Word required.
- Experience in a high growth environment.
- Experience implementing software.
