Job Description

Well-established successful Independent Insurance Agency in the general South County, RI area is growing and is in need of a Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative. We are a property and casualty independent insurance agency with decades of successful service in the Rhode Island and Connecticut area.

We are currently looking for a full-time motivated individual to join our Agency Team. This professional will be working with our commercial sales clients and insurance carriers’ to customize insurance proposals as well as provide daily customer service. The right candidate will have excellent organization skills, the ability to multitask and prioritize work, maintain excellent computer and communication skills. Experience working within an independent insurance agency or within the commercial P&C industry is preferred. However, we will provide a comprehensive on-boarding process to include support in obtaining a Property & Casualty License.

In this role, you will be working with our sales producers to submit new and renewal business to our clients as well as providing outstanding daily customer service. Customer service includes everything from claims management to maintaining account information and reporting.

We provide a competitive compensation package. There is also a very attractive sign-on bonus to be payable at 6 months based on performance. This opportunity provides growth and further career advancement to move up in the organization in various leadership and management roles.

Qualifications:

-Associates Degree or related experience; additionally, P&C license is desirable or

the willingness to obtain a license with Agency support

-2-4 years of demonstrated experience

-Excellent computer skills to include all Microsoft Office Products. Experience

with Insurance Software or another applied system is desirable.

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills, presentation abilities, “Team Player”, self-starter.

-Core Hours M-F 830am-430pm (can accommodate flexible hours), based in the South County area.
