Accounting Assistant

An Eastern Shore based hunting goods distributor is seeking an Accounting Assistant to join their growing team in Easton, Maryland. As the Accounting Assistant you will be responsible for posting vendor invoices, reconciling bank accounts and performing general administrative duties. At least 2 years’ experience in accounting field required. The client offers an excellent benefits package that includes Profit Sharing! Salary: $20.00-$25.00, depending on experience

Job Type: Full-Time

Work location: Easton, Maryland (35 minutes from Stevensville, Maryland and 25 minutes from Cambridge, Maryland)

What you will do:

• Post vendor invoices after thorough review
• Resolve any invoice or payment discrepancies
• Maintain accurate vendor profiles
• Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements
• Monitor on time payments for accounts receivable aging
• Perform general administrative functions such as gathering data, filing and scheduling
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications you will need to succeed:

• At least 2 years’ experience in similar field
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures
• Proficient in QuickBooks, Google Products, Microsoft Office Products, and Adobe Acrobat
• Experience with Fishbowl Inventory helpful

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8 am – 4:30 or 5 pm depending on the duration of the lunch break
