Job Description - IT Technician
Description
We are looking to hire an ambitious IT expert for our open IT Technical Support position.
Your job will be to provide technical support to maintain an organization’s computer systems, both hardware and software and other peripheral equipment to ensure optimal performance so that end users can maintain a high level of productivity.
Responsibilities
⦁ Provide technical assistance with computer hardware and software
⦁ Resolve issues for staff via phone, in person, or electronically
⦁ Log bugs and enhancement requests
⦁ Perform hardware and software installations, configurations and updates as needed
⦁ Create and maintain tips and tricks solutions for online database and web site
⦁ Provide introductory training for client products
⦁ Resolve technical issues in a timely manner using available resources within the company
Requirements
⦁ Excellent customer service skills
⦁ Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
⦁ Previous working experience in IT support for 3+ years
⦁ Degrees and/certifications are a plus
⦁ In depth knowledge of Windows 10/11, Server, Microsoft Office 365 and other common software for schools.
⦁ If necessary, liaise with third-party support and PC equipment vendors
⦁ Must pass background check.


Formal Education & Certification
⦁ High School Degree/Some College, Technical School or equivalent experience.
Knowledge & Experience
This position will require the technician to have direct contact with a variety of clients. They will need to interface with customers in person and on the phone and be able to listen to their complaints as well as address their needs and appropriately set expectations. This will need to be done in a calm, respectful manner that will reflect well not only on the employee but QHT as a whole.
⦁ Knowledge of laptop hardware repairs and software configuration/troubleshoot methods.
⦁ Hands on hardware troubleshooting experience.
⦁ Working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems.
⦁ Ability to operate tools, component and peripheral accessories.
⦁ Able to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation and OEM guides.
⦁ Ability to conduct research into PC issues and products as required.

Permanent position, Starting salary $50,000
Benefits available: Health Insurance, 401k, Generous vacation time.
Start Date: September 2022
