The ideal candidate should be motivated, detailed, leadership skills, multi-tasking, able to earn respect from their peers, self-starter who is familiar with IT and telecom support and has at least 15 years of progressive experience managing and providing Tier 3+ Support, System Engineering Services. Experience with the following is essential:
-- LAN and WAN network management; Windows Server 2016 and 2020 Installation, configuration and advanced troubleshooting; Active Directory and Group Policy management; VMware hypervisor and virtual machine creation and management; SonicWall firewalls; Windows 7, 8.1 and 10 basic and advanced management; Apple OS, Office 365 administration and migration; Microsoft Azure administration/cloud domain administration and deployment; Active Directory Admin.; Exchange Server Admin.; SharePoint Admin.; DNS and HDCP configuration; Spam filter Admin.; Networking, VPN, RDP, Hyper V Admin. basic telecom maintenance; IT Glue, Kaseya, ConnectWise, Auto Task experience is a plus.
For applicants to be successful in this position, they must be able to fulfill the following daily functions:
-- Assist System Engineer with planning and scheduling of IT functions and projects.
-- Provide technical assistance for QBS IT Services customers and QBS employees.
-- Oversee the entire department’s growth & direction towards Cybersecurity, Data Security, Cloud Storage, meeting our SLA, reviewing everyone’s daily activities, increase sales project work from our customers, Meeting with new and current customers for account reviews, and Building Teamwork among the department.
-- Manage team-based projects and provide guidance and instruction support.
-- Ordering equipment for project work and assigning the appropriate personnel to complete the projects in a timely manner.
-- Meeting with outside vendors and bringing on advanced technology to enhance the growth of the department.
-- Enforce all IT personnel documents, time sheets, PTO tracking and use our ticketing system for all inhouse and outside appointments.
-- Communicate and work with our IT team and customers to ensure all necessary information and planning is collected before starting projects.
-- Use the helpdesk ticketing system to ensure all issue specifics are fully documented, issues are tracked, SLA meet, and customers are satisfied with the resolution.
-- Use various software tools to investigate PC and network issues and to create, modify and delete user accounts and profiles.
-- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and repair operating systems, productivity software and specialized software.
-- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and repair hardware and peripheral components.
-- Investigate and resolve network communications problems.
-- Use various telecom tools to research, troubleshoot and repair basic telecom issues.
-- Contact software and hardware vendors to request service for covered products.
-- Ensure punctual attendance and appearance at customer facilities and the QBS building and maintains a presentable personal hygiene and appearance at customer sites and in the QBS building.
