IT Project Manager - DIRECT HIRE

Our client is a leader in the banking field, looking to add a skilled IT Project Manager to their family. This position is located in Lapeer with a Monday through Friday work schedule, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (could include weekend hours as needed). Remote eligible with some onsite requirements! Salary $75,000 per year.

General Summary

Oversee the planning and implementation of entire IT projects through budgeting, recruiting team members, sourcing suppliers and planning the project release.

Direct and manage the IT Help Desk Team. Assist with troubleshooting IT issues and identify areas for additional training. Prioritize projects for this Team and monitor/report progress.

Participate in key Information Technology Department management functions. These functions include but are not necessarily limited to Help Desk, scheduling and report distribution, backup, budget development and management, and management and maintenance of the IT Disaster Recovery Plan.

Work closely with Senior Management and Departments to solve problems, meet schedules, sponsor projects and track progress in achieving goals and objectives to improve service to the clients through deployment of world-class information technology solutions.

Remote Work: Position is remote eligible with some onsite requirements.

Required Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the IT Help Desk. The IT Manager is expected to be “hands-on” in troubleshooting IT issues and prioritizing projects for the IT Help Desk Team.
  • Help create and maintain technology strategic plan.
  • Oversee the planning and implementation of entire projects.
  • Set deadlines, provide feedback and communicate with users about the status of their project.
  • Assist with the Bank’s Business Continuity Plan, the IT Disaster Recovery Plan and the IT Risk assessment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Departments, other managers, subordinates, and clients.
  • Prepare and recommend solutions to system problems and new technology.
  • Ability to conduct hardware and software evaluations, and perform selection and acquisition functions, using Bank Purchasing process including RFP, RFI or RFB when appropriate.
  • Interpret and apply all policies and objectives across all data processing activities.
  • Trouble shoot and research problems experienced by user departments.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of departmental goals and objectives with senior management, including project prioritization and classification of strategic, tactical, maintenance, and other bank projects.
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, direct, and review the work of subordinates, including change management.
  • Ability to read, interpret and create technical documents, specifications, and contracts and apply them appropriately.
  • Advise Sr. Vice President on budget needs and monitor actual expenses to budgeted expenses.
  • Attend and participate in professional group meetings and stay abreast of new trends and innovations in the technology and financial industry.
  • Develop rapport and utilize communication skills in dealing professionally with internal and external clients.
  • Is responsible for being familiar with and complying with the provisions of the Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act as they relate to the functions of this position. Completes all required reports related to those acts and reports any observed violations or potential violations of those acts to a supervisor or other appropriate bank officer.
  • Be familiar with and comply with all federal and state banking regulations as applicable.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an Inpidual in this position must be able to perform each of the above essential duties satisfactorily and exhibit the values of the Company. In addition, the requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

Experience and/or Education

• Proven experience in IT management or relevant role

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in information technology and data management

• Proven experience in Project management

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering, or relevant field

• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as they relate to IT

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Ability to work in an office environment which may include many hours of computer and telephone usage.
