Job Description

Technical Excellence

§  Provides technical mentorship to early-career professionals, with emphasis in areas of identified skill gaps. Utilizes depth and/or breadth of experience to identify cross-functional business opportunities. Participates in internal networks through which their capabilities can be disseminated to the benefit of others

·       Deep understanding of Data Management, Update and manage datasets to assist geoscience professionals and management with decision-making

·       Data mining of industry materials for resources relevant to the teams regional understanding

·       Assemble and maintain data from a variety of sources and inputs into geoscience mapping packages; review data for quality and consistency

·       Prepare and compile well, seismic, and spatial data to support evaluations and analysis, while ensuring database integrity

·       Transfer data between software platforms Petra, Petrel, DSG, PetroSys, Kingdom etc.

·       Knowledge and proficiency of software packages/applications to help enhance G&G workflow and efficiency; share knowledge and workarounds with team

·       Support geoscience staff by gathering well log, production, drilling, completion, and reservoir data

·       Serve as key representative with multi-disciplinary teams and global geoscience systems

·       Quality Control map contours, faults, and well data from the geoscientists for plotting and inclusion into PowerPoint, Regulatory, and Reserves documents

 

Execution

§  Technical leadership (formal or informal). Applying broad technical and business skills and expertise to solve more complex problems.

§  Coordinate internal resources for execution of projects

§  Review and ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and with high quality

§  Review/Develop project plan to monitor and track progress

§  Identify process improvement areas and support in implementing them

§  Responsible for interfacing with customer to understand the geotechnical requirement and lead development of appropriate workflow processes

§  Support in development of technical material required for QuEST with respect to customer presentations and bids

 

Qualifications Education:

·       Bachelor’s degree in geoscience, data management, or other appropriate discipline

Good to have
