Job Summary



Board Certified Behavior Analysts engage in the specific and comprehensive use of principles of learning to address the needs of individuals with ASD in accordance with the guidelines of the private health insurance companies and BACB requirements for service delivery. The BCBA is responsible for training staff and parents in the principles of ABA in best meeting the unique needs of the individual.







Job Responsibilities





+ Ensure health, safety & welfare of individuals



+ Participate in ABA Private Insurance clinical meetings



+ Oversee/monitor schedules and time sheets of ABA Technicians



+ Responsible for all aspects of the behavior-change program from conceptualization to implementation and ultimately to discontinuation



+ Plan for treatment by monitoring progress, analyzing data/graphs, modifying teaching procedures / treatment goals, designing instructional stimuli, providing additional training to provider, researching evidence-based procedures relevant to client programs, and other appropriate activities



+ Conducts comprehensive assessments (i.e. VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, AFLS, EFL, etc.), assessment updates, and functional behavior assessments using behavior-analytic assessment techniques bi-annually and as necessary



+ Explain assessment results using language and graphic displays of data that are reasonably understandable



+ Provide ABA Technicians with hands-on training, in-situ training in use of Behavior Skills Training in accordance with the hours set forth by the Client/Provider Agreement Summary









Supervision activities





+ Review session notes and progress



+ Train and observe providers



+ Model programs



+ Develop treatment goals, protocols, and data collection systems



+ Summarize and analyze data



+ Evaluate client progress towards treatment goals



+ Adjust treatment protocols based on data



+ Coordination of care with other professionals



+ Direct support and training of family members and other involved professionals to promote optimal functioning and promote generalization and maintenance of behavioral improvements in accordance with the hours set forth by the Client/Provider Agreement Summary.



+ Participate in team meetings and coordination of care related to client treatment.



+ Participate in clinical leadership committee meetings as needed



+ Maintain participant/family confidentiality



+ Maintain licensure and BACB certification by obtaining 32 (BCBA, BCBA-D) hours of continuing education credits every two years, 4 hours of which must relate to professional ethics



+ Other duties as assigned by supervisor











Requirements

Minimum Qualifications



?



? Master's degree in related field



? 2-3 years of experience training in Applied Behavior Analysis



? Possess and maintain Board Certified Behavior Analyst Credentials/License and remain in good standing with the BACB



? Ability to safely assist lifting individuals of various weights and 20lb items



? Clearance through state mandated Background/Fingerprint Check(s)



? Ability to communicate effectively with others and individuals served



? Strong organizational skills are needed
