We are seeking a strong team player who is a results-driven web project manager to lead development of our client’s websites. You will be collaborating with our development team on conceptualization and guiding the team through the product development stages.

To ensure success as a web project manager you should thrive on meeting deadlines, checking things off the list and ensuring tasks get across the finish line. Prioritizing project requirements and tasks while meeting client expectations, remaining in scope and in budget. Identifying potential roadblocks and needed content ahead of the curve. Ability to be a bridge between the development team and other project managers and clients by providing clear communication.

As for the web developer side of things, you should possess extensive experience in website development utilizing the WordPress content management system. A first-class web project manager will be someone whose expertise in web development translates into an innovative online presence and a positive force in the work environment.


Web Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Consulting with client stakeholders to determine their website's desired appearance and functionalities.

  • Conceptualizing the website design process and leading the development team.

  • Developing user-friendly and visually appealing interfaces, and performing SEO procedures.

  • Integrating images, embedding videos, and adding plugins.

  • Troubleshooting and testing prototypes, as well as monitoring the live deployment of the product.

  • Providing mentorship to junior developers and facilitating suitable interventions to deliver the project on time and within budget.

  • Documenting website development processes and procedures.

  • Preparing project progress updates for senior executives and performing website demonstrations.

  • Keeping abreast of developments and trends in website design.

  • Follow the scope of an online project that goes from the proposal stage to the technical work up, and finally to the delivery of the web product.

  • Participate in the initial conception stage along with a client in order to better meet the needs of the customer and to translate those expectations to employees.

  • Design solutions for customer problems related to online commerce, corporate identity, or other website presence issues.

  • Work to find and solve any problems with the function of a web project by implementing testing processes and working with technical staff in order to address any issues.

  • Supervise a team of web professionals by developing effective training procedures, appropriate task assignments, positive customer experiences, and top quality control processes.

  • Aim to meet all project goals within the specified budget of the client and the organization; adjust practices to reflect cost-saving measures.

  • Generate periodic project status reports to be presented to company stakeholders; detail data, tasks, and processes.

  • Develop additional skills, certifications, and other banks of knowledge in the Internet industry by attending professional conferences, leading seminars with colleagues, and keeping all relative qualifications and certificates up to date.

Web Project Manager Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in web project management required

  • Minimum 3 years WordPress custom development required

  • Superb leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

  • Experience in communicating with clients in various ways

  • Ability to manage many different jobs and meet deadlines consistently

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Advanced proficiency in phpMyAdmin, CPanel, WordPress & Atom code editor or equivalent

  • Knowledge of custom WordPress theme creation

  • Ability to write custom php hooks and actions to modify WordPress core

  • Ability to write and manage custom WordPress plugins

  • Working knowledge of Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) plugin required

  • Advanced proficiency in programming languages, such as PHP, HTML, Javascript, JQuery, SCSS
