Behavioral Health Technician (Over night Per diem)

Scope of Position & Technical Competency -:


+ Provides support to the Partial Program and Residential clients, team members, and director
+ Maintains safe, orderly, clean and therapeutic physical environment for clients including completion of facility cleaning/ sanitization per shift requirement and needs
+ Participates with the intake process
+ Coordinate activities including lectures, recreation, and meetings
+ Follows objectives of treatment plans and assists with interventions with clients
+ Communicates with staff either verbally or in written communication logs, responsible for details of client logs
+ Clerical duties as needed including but not limited to, prepares files, takes messages for the doctor, staff, makes authorization review calls, etc.
+ Listens to, monitors and observes clients and provides feedback and input to clinical team
+ Attends shift change meetings, team meetings, and company meetings as required
+ Completes required trainings and mandatory training hours within required training plan
+ Trains and orients new staff and clients to unit, program, and milieu, participates in intake process
+ Evaluates behavioral and emotional needs of clients and provides input
+ Administers Instant UDS or mouth swab, document results
+ Pick-up, drop-off and transport of clients to home, meetings, therapeutic outings, medical needs, ancillary services, etc.
+ Keep budget of programming costs (parking/EZPass, food, art supplies, other materials)
+ Strong skills in Eating Disorder and/or mental health treatment knowledge and experience
+ Socialize with clients during leisure time and meals
+ Helps to maintain a strong clinical program and ensures staff is present with client/s at all times
+ Able to work collaboratively with treatment team to effectively meet the needs of the clients
+ Maintains positive relationships and boundaries with clients
+ Conducts client searches as scheduled or needed
+ Monitors medication line as needed
+ All other duties as assigned


Technical Competencies:

+ Capable of role modeling to the clients
+ Helps to maintain a strong clinical program
+ Able to work with team to effectively meet the needs of the clients
+ Maintains positive relationships and boundaries with clients
+ Complete required trainings mandatory trainings hours
+ Strong skills in Eating Disorders and mental health treatment
+ A working knowledge of HIPAA, Licensing, OMHSAS, DHS, and CARF regulations
+ Valid Driver's License

+ Development, conducting of, and participation in client outings, meals including same food intake, and age appropriate clinical challenges

Requirements
Education, Experience:

+ Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college with a major in psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a clinical specialty in the human services field), chemical dependency or other related field required and a minimum of 1 years direct care experience in a Behavioral Health setting
+ Valid driver's license required
+ Eating Disorder experience/ training preferred.
+ Facilitating process groups and family sessions experience preferred
