Qualifications:Education Minimum Requirement: A Master’s Degree with a minimum of 1 year’s experience, or a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in analytical chemistry, cell biology, bioengineering, biological sciences, or related discipline in the biopharmaceutical industry. Required Experience and Skills: - Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced and dynamic cross-functional team environment. - Hands on experience with analytical sample testing, liquid handling and documentation management is essential. Experience with biological characterization assays using label-free methodology (i.e., SPR/Biacore, Octet) preferred. Proficient in common bioassay software and data analysis packages e.g., SoftMax Pro, JMP, PLA software, GraphPad Prism, and Microsoft Office Tools. - A strong team player with excellent oral and written communication skills; to execute experiments; and analyze, interpret, and clearly communicate complex analytical data. Experience with additional techniques and technologies, e.g., immunoassay/ ELISA, cell culture and lab automation will be advantageous. - Experience of working in a GxP regulated laboratory environment for routine sample testing, documentation, and data verification will be a plus.

Responsibilities:The Cell-based Sciences group in Analytical Research and Development organization of Client Research Laboratories at Kenilworth, NJ is seeking a highly motivated Scientist to join our biological characterization team. The successful candidate will execute routine characterization testing using label-free methodology (i.e., SPR/Biacore, Octet) to deliver high-quality affinity and kinetics data for assessment of biological activity of modalities such as antibodies, multifunctional proteins, peptide therapeutics and antibody-drug-conjugates. The candidate will work with technical leaders in the group to execute and document testing following internal SOPs and summarize results for reporting.
