Information Security Analyst II
The Information Security Analyst II is responsible for implementing and managing systems and technology in support of the information security mission and executing the department's short- and long-term security operations goals. The Information Security Analyst will report directly to the Information Security Officer but will be encouraged to innovate and build upon current processes, working closely with IT and Senior Leaders. A tech-savvy, innovative, can-do attitude and ability to multitask competing priorities efficiently and effectively is a must. The Information Security Analyst will execute and track the performance of security measures to protect information and network in an Azure environment.
Information Security Analyst II Job Responsibilities:
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and team lead for escalations and/or security support requests.
- Analyze and advise on architecture standards for security controls for cloud and data center-hosted solutions.
- Analyze application/system architectures to design appropriate security requirements which enforce Information Security policies and standards.
- Propose solutions that balance business requirements with information and cyber security requirements.
- Collaborate with business units to provide guidance on security controls for managing risk and provide remediation recommendations based on vulnerability findings.
- Perform risk assessments of information systems and infrastructure; develop appropriate risk treatment and mitigation options, and effectively articulate findings and recommendations to IT project teams and management.
- Identify security design gaps in existing and proposed architectures and recommend changes or enhancements. (i.e. Threat Modelling)
- Manage multiple simultaneous fast-paced projects covering diverse business initiatives. Work on multiple projects and tasks concurrently.
- Align standards, frameworks, and security with overall business and technology strategy.
- Completes tasks designed to ensure the security of the organization's systems and information assets.
- Protects against unauthorized access, modification, or destruction of company resources.
- Understand patching best practices and oversees the solution.
- Run regular OVAL scans against a cross-section of platforms to measure risk and partner with system administrators to remediate.
- Configure SCAP Scans to ingest OVAL baselines and track results over time.
- Monitor, analyze, and manage security alerts and devices (SIEM, WAF, IDP/IPS, etc....)
- Participate in incident response and disaster recovery planning and testing.
- Assist in the investigation of security incidents and breaches and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security vulnerabilities.

Requirements
Information Security Analyst II Required Skills:
- Previous experience as an Information Security Engineer/Analyst, Security Architect, ect
- Experience designing security in large public cloud technologies (Azure).
- Experience with Threat Modeling, SecDevOps
- Zero Trust Mentality
- DLP (Data Loss Prevention) and AIP (Azure Information Protection)
- Experience with SOAR, SIEM, EDR, ect
- Experience in analysis, network engineering, network security, offensive experience, technical collection, penetration testing, red teaming, reverse engineering, and computer exploitation
- Familiarity with standard network security technology solutions: e.g., firewall, router, VPN, IDS.
- Understanding network protocols, network topologies, virtual infrastructure, network segmentation, operating systems, databases, applications, and mobile security.
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- High level of personal integrity and the ability to professionally handle confidential matters and exude the appropriate level of judgment and maturity.
Information Security Analyst II Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field or equivalent work experience in information security or a related field
- Experience with cybersecurity frameworks and threat methodologies, including the MITRE ATT&CK matrix, CIS, and NIST cybersecurity framework, PCIDSS, etc...
- Proficiency in one or more scripting languages (e.g Powershell) preferred
