Job Description The Director of Analytics will be responsible for leading the Analytics development team in producing media reporting tools that solve key business needs with a focus on scale and automation. The successful candidate will manage a small team of developers that are responsible for a reporting platform known as the Precision Analytics Suite, a BI platform that ensures clients’ digital investments are as efficient as possible across programmatic, search and social. The reporting suite draws from a big data platform that covers the digital investment footprint of Publicis Media clients. This role’s primary focus is to lead Analytics development efforts while collaborating on development initiatives cross-functionally across Product Management, Solutions Enablement, agency and client direct to generate insights that elevate our client services and solve our clients’ most pressing marketing needs. The Director will report into the VP of Product and Engineering. The Director is an experienced and dynamic individual who possesses a combination of strong development, analytic, problem solving, and professional communication skills. The role requires the ability to proactively identify opportunities to leverage data and technology to solve business problems as well as coordinate the Analytics team efforts in producing well-designed BI features and reporting products. The Director is able to proactively identify high-value tools/products that can be developed based on existing or potential data access and to recognize and respond to critical business needs by supporting relevant analytics and reporting tools that best support those needs. The role is based out of Atlanta, Chicago or New York. Responsibilities: Analytics Team Leadership Manage and lead Analytics team colleagues in successful support of the broader Product team roadmap Keep abreast of industry trends; Uncover and understand the needs and challenges of our Fortune 500 clients; address these through business analysis, recommendations, and ongoing consultation based on our unique information services and ability to assess markets, customers, competitors and prospects; Manage Analytics team direct/indirect reports’ professional growth while also ensuring redundant support for tools/products that provide key business value; Set and maintain high standards for performance and ease of interpretation of Analytics data visualizations and other Analytics products; Establish and uphold Analytics team standard for statistical rigor and product quality. Data Visualization Design Own front end development and experience of Precision Analytics Suite, a proprietary media based BI tool Practical knowledge of advertising technologies such as programmatic, display, search and social platforms, ad servers, RTB platforms, ad exchanges, website analytics systems, browsers, etc.
and the utilization of resulting data sets; Coordinate with Global Solutions & Product team on the development of data solutions, including new product and feature roadmap input based on customer and market needs; Ensure relevancy of existing Analytics products and efficiently allocate resources between support for existing products and new product development
