About the Job
The focus of our investment program is to provide stable, long-term funding for the Missouri public school teachers and staff who belong to our retirement systems. To do this, our goal is to achieve an annual investment return of at least 7.3% over long periods of time. We attempt to reduce overall portfolio risk by diversifying into several asset classes, including both public and private investments that span both domestic and international markets.

You will also be expected to review private credit agreements, conduct and assist with due diligence and assist with planning, drafting and monitoring investment policies and procedures.
Candidates must possess a Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an ABA accredited law school, as well as three years of experience in law practice and/or experience with pension plans, other institutional investors, or the financial services industry. We prefer an undergraduate or post-graduate degree in business, finance, economics or similar program. Candidates must be licensed and in good standing to practice law in Missouri.
You are a good fit for this position if you are open-minded, enjoy learning new things, and work well both independently and in team situations.
