The Database Engineer position will be leading and implementing data engineering projects, supporting and maintaining data pipelines. A seasoned Database Engineer will provide expertise and best practices regarding data engineering across the company while utilizing strong and professional communication skills. This position will be responsible for improving the performance and adding features to existing data pipelines, as well as the design and build-out of new pipelines.
Further, the Database Engineer will implement solutions for improving and maintaining data integrity, data quality, and help to implement master data management solutions.
Position Details
- United States - Remote/Telecommute
- 9-5 Must be in an eastern or central time zone
- Equipment and hardware provided. Interviewing, orientation and training are conducted virtually
Responsibilities
- Write and code logical and physical databases systems.
- Designs and Develops ETL processes to populate Enterprise Data Warehouse.
- Troubleshoots and resolves database, application, software configuration and ETL-related performance issues.
- Will perform hands-on development for enhancements to the ETL/Reporting processes.
- Maintaining and enhancing the performance of existing database programs.
- Assisting database development teams in designing new database programs that meet the organization's data storage needs.
- Monitoring databases and related systems to ensure optimized performance.
- Monitor and maintain data pipelines proactively to ensure high service availability.
- Identifying, designing, and implementing internal process improvements including designing infrastructure for scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes.
- Improves operations by conducting systems analysis.
- Implement solutions to ensure data quality beginning with data intake.
Requirements / Qualifications
Required
- Experience with Microsoft SQL, Salesforce, Azure, C#, ASP.Net, and related technologies.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in database engineering.
- In-depth knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL).
- Ability to write advanced SQL queries.
- Extensive experience with database technologies and architecture.
- Sound knowledge of best practices in database engineering and data security.
- Direct object-oriented code and database development.
- Experience in ETL using SSIS.
- Ability to communicate complex technical information in common language to foster teaching and analytics guidance to internal customers.
- Experience in analytics, data cleaning, and data integrity.
- Detail-oriented and able to work collaboratively.
Preferred
- Experience with Azure Data Factory
- Experience with Azure Event hubs
- Experience with Azure Synapse
- Knowledge of Power BI
Work From Home Requirements
