Job Description


Our award-winning client is looking for a leader; a skilled, levelheaded, and experienced Project Manager looking to join their Project Management Team to run projects and lead the company's move teams. This position will report directly to the Senior Project Manager & the VP of Operations, and the primary goal is to take control of each project the Account & Operations Teams.


  • Follow as best you can the guidelines of the move plan and budget, prepare all paperwork, and coordinate with the Operations Team to ensure you have the necessary workforce and materials on-site to complete the project.

  • Following every project, you will need to generate a cost analysis and review all aspects of the project (and any changes, if applicable) with the Sales Team to prepare for the Finance Team.

  • Lead by example:

  • Company Uniform at all times: Gray Polo & Pants (Black Jeans allowed if working the job) with black sneakers or work boots.

  • Report to each project site at least 30-60 minutes prior to the start time.

  • Respond to all parties (Company Client Team, Sales Team, Operations Team, Sub Contracted Team, etc.) in a timely and professional manner, minimum 24-hours.

  • Keep a level head, project scopes are constantly changing; it is necessary that the Project Manager always remains calm and sensible.

  • Preparation and Responsibilities Process:

    • When assigned a project, it is the Project Manager's responsibility to review the scope and move plan/budget 24-48-hours prior to each project, in Company's' CRM (METHOD, for full quote & details) & TEAMS CALENDAR (for BOL & Scope of Work/Materials/Labor).

    • If there are any concerns, questions, or doubts regarding scope or the overall project, it is the Project Manager's responsibility to reach out to the Accounts, Operations Team, &/or Senior Project Manager to confirm details PRIOR TO THE PROJECT, and to loop in the client when necessary to add or change what is needed to complete the project as smoothly and efficiently as possible.

    • If there are any sub-contractors involved (electrician, carpenters, cleaning company, etc.), Project Managers must confirm they are scheduled & gather contact information.

    • Each project requires a “game plan” on how to orchestrate and run the project, which the Project Manager must create and execute before stepping on site.

    • Email Accounts & Operations Team, and CC appropriate salesperson, at the start, middle, and completion of every project with project updates (no matter if it is a small, medium, or large size project).

    • Ensure paperwork is returned to the Company Dispatcher/Warehouse within 24 hours of each project (or each day/project).

    • Notes include changes, job status updates, how many truckloads are disposal v metal if applicable, reviews of movers & foremen, etc.

    • Review project with the appropriate salesperson following each move to finalize for invoicing.

    • Attend site visits with or for the Sales Team, to better understand the scope of work and generate a move plan and proposal.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ Commercial Moving / Relocation / Furniture experience

  • Strong Project Management skills in a Commercial Moving / Relocation / Furniture environment

  • Cost analysis skills

  • Strong operations exposure in Commercial Moving / Relocation environment
