Position Summary: As the Regional Clinical Support Specalist, reporting directly to the Region's Operational Leader, you are responsible for helping to maintain high quality, service leadership, and effective living and independent living clinical operations within your region of the Provision Living organization. Essential Duties include the following: * Provides support to leadership regarding the delivery of quality care and services to our residents in compliance with the State, Local, and Federal regulations pertaining to care plans and resident assessments * Guides and consults with each community Director of Nursing (DON) regarding the delivery of care to residents to ensure that emotional, physical, psychological and safety needs are met * Cultivates a strong and transparent working relationship with the regional Leadership Team, establishes and maintains open communication about the status of the Clinical/Nursing Department goals and milestones * Partners with each community DON in collaboration with the local Executive Director regarding infection control, maintaining a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, pharmaceutical and physical/chemical restraining policies and procedures, and assures that policies are adhered to * Trains, guides, and educates each community DON, ensuring they have current knowledge on the proper scope of practice for self and others, and recognizes legal implications when making nursing judgements * Acts as interim DON as needed * Functions as a resource and consultant for each community DON by responding to inquires and providing information on nursing care and services * Guides and consults each community DON regarding developing initial service plans for all residents, reviews and maintains service plans within and/or above the state regulations * Other duties as assigned Qualifications: * Five (5) years of experience in a senior care community, specifically memory care and/or assisted living, with proven leadership and organizational skills * Great communication and interpersonal skills are required, along with the heart and passion to work with older adults while providing the best care possible * Demonstrates excellent observation, assessment and nursing judgment * Must have the ability to remain calm in stressful situations, to be flexible, to work well with many interruptions, have skills in multi-tasking, and respect the principles of residents rights and confidentiality Education and/or Experience: * LPN or RN licenure in Nursing Other Qualifications: * Possesses a strong knowledge of laws and restrictions within several states regarding Assisted Living, Memory Care and Independent Living (where applicable), as well as strong understanding of opportunies and limits of other levels of care within senior living * Exhibits and promotes a high level of customer service, hospitality, curiousity and friendliness towards all residents, visitors, associates and the overall community * Ability to travel as necessary in order to meet organizational needs and expectations with local, regional and/or national travel, 50-75% Computer Skills: * Proficiency in Internet browsers, Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word applications. Strong knowledge of electronic medical capturing systems Physical Demands: * To perform this mission successfully, an individual should possess the physical ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time, bend, twist, and reach the floor. Hand/eye coordination should be sufficient to set up and administer injections, prepare/administer medical and treatments, and adjust flow rates using medical equipment.
