Pharmacy Technician 2 - Long Term Care

Providence is calling a Pharmacy Technician 2 (1.0 FTE, Rotating/Variable) to Providence Home Services Long Term Care In Portland, OR.
This is a variable position working 8 hour shifts between the hours of 8am - 9pm with some weekend coverage.
In this position, you will:

  • Perform duties relating to the filling and dispensing of medications from the pharmacy to the patient's home or appropriate facility in a prompt and accurate manner.
  • Possess advanced knowledge and skills in 2 or more specialty areas in the pharmacy.
Required qualifications for this position include:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current Oregon Board of Pharmacy Technician registration
  • 1 year (2080 clock hours) of pharmacy technician experience
  • In compliance with the Providence Health & Services-Oregon (OR) Human Resources policy #302 "Background Checks", a criminal background check is required for this position, based on assigned duties
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
  • Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician Program
  • Inpatient, Long Term Care or Specialty Pharmacy experience and previous experience with Pyxis CII Safe
