Customer Service Representative Position

We have an opportunity for a FT Customer Service Representative at Wheaton Way Veterinary Hospital. Our practice has been serving the Kitsap Peninsula since 1974. We are a highly progressive, privately owned “non corporate” practice with a new owner who recognizes the need for change in our industry.

We are located in the middle of Kitsap County with the Olympic Mountains on one side and the Cascade Mountains on the other. We are surrounded by the Puget Sound and Seattle is only a 45 minute ferry ride away. Enjoy the outdoors? Love to ski, hike, camp or go out for a night on the town? Candidates should have strengths in the following areas:

• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, managing time and tasks efficiency and with confidence

• Have an understanding of basic scientific and medical principles (preferred)

• Maintain a positive experience for the client, the patient, and fellow staff members.

• Familiarity with veterinary (or other) medical records

• Fundamentals in Office Technology: multi-line phone systems, two way text applications, Microsoft Word/Excel/Windows, veterinary software, credit card terminals, fax machines, scanners, printers.

• Veterinary-Specific Technology Experience (preferred, but not required): Avimark, Care Credit and ScratchPay

• Presenting a positive image of the hospital in the community and within the practice.

• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively.

• Autonomously managing time and tasks; efficiency and confidence

• Most Importantly is a commitment to ongoing individual educational development and growth.

• Experience is preferred but we will also consider applicants who have experience in professional settings such as: law offices, dental offices, medical facilities or high-end customer service positions.

• Flexibility with a work schedule is preferred.
