Technician Repair and Assembly

The Technician Repair and Assembly performs a variety of operational processes as well as quality control functions to ensure that incoming products are inspected, assembled, repaired and tested on both the production and repair side of Proponent Technical Services. TRA ensures products are within quality standards, dimensions, and specifications referenced on drawings and manuals. S/he is responsible to receive and inspect all parts, verifies the count and performs physical inspections of parts using a variety of inspection equipment. S/he determines inspection priority through sales orders, criticality, and customer need. S/he is responsible for performing operations related to teardown, removal, repair, installation, replacement, testing and processing of electrical and electronic parts. These operations require ability to use assembly instructions, OHM's, CMM's and design drawings to ensure work is completed within FAA regulations. S/he is also responsible for the accurate administration, processing, and correlating of parts, paperwork, and certifications within the department. S/he prepares outgoing documentation such as inspection reports, certificates of conformance, FAA Forms 8130-3 and part marking labels. S/he works with engineering to update drawings, specifications, calibrations and procedures to ensure that all paperwork is accurate.

Job-Related Knowledge
- General Warehousing, Transportation, and Distribution Practices
- Equipment Assembly
- Data entry
- Ability to use test equipment, gauges, fixtures, electronics hardware, and other equipment to validate product meets designs.
Experience & Education
- High School Diploma
- 1-3 Years of Related Work Experience in maintenance/repair facilities environment
- Must be able to obtain FAA repairman license and meet the requirements set forth in the FARs as required.
- Soldering skills a plus
- Electronics troubleshooting experience a plus
