Prometheus Federal Services is seeking an early to mid-career Data Analysts to support a Department of Defense (DoD) client in Washington, DC Metro Area (i.e., the DMV). The Data Analysts will be part of a high performing analytics team providing end-to-end analytic support working with very large clinical data sets to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and impact of psychological health care within the DoD. Selected candidates will be highly self-motivated and experienced working in teams comprised of subject matter experts (in this case mental health experts), other data scientists, public health program evaluators, researchers, and epidemiologists to provide thorough, advanced analytic support.
+ Define, design, and conduct health care surveillance and monitoring efforts to identify areas of strength and areas of weaknesses (or opportunities for improvement) for providing mental health care throughout the DoD
+ Develop code for data management, manipulation, and analysis using SAS software to analyze data on health care utilization among service members, veterans, and their family members
+ Work with other teams to provide analysis results and reports that will be used to inform DoD policy and programmatic action as related to mental health care.
+ Collect, manage, analyze data to evaluate program performance, and to assess performance against established performance targets
+ Utilize findings to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify new surveillance, evaluation, and research efforts
+ Develop presentations for leadership to share findings and assist in making actionable recommendations
+ Disseminate findings through media such as data dashboards, information papers, manuscripts, and blogs
+ Utilize visualization technologies such as Tableau to present findings.
+ Bachelor's degree in data science, public health, or other data-relevant science (e.g., statistics) with at least 4 years' end-to-end data management/analysis experience
+ Experience writing SAS code to manage, extract, and manipulate data from very large data repositories and relational databases
+ Experience writing code to extract, manage and analyze data using SQL code
+ Experience defining and developing research and program evaluation plans
+ Advanced MS Excel skills to analyze and manipulate data
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills
+ Ability to support multiple projects as a member of larger multi-disciplined teams
+ Master's degree in public health, data science, informatics, epidemiology, or related field
+ Experience working with DoD health-related programs and operations
+ Active access to the MHS Data Repository (MDR) database
+ Experience using statistical software packages to conduct descriptive and inferential statistics
+ Experience with R statistical analysis software
+ Experience with data visualization in Tableau
