Position Title: Electrical Engineer
Location: Columbia and Snake River
We are seeking electrical engineer with commissioning experience as Quality Assurance Representative (QAR) for projects on the Columbia and Snake Rivers. Systems to inspect may include power plant facilities, including hydro-power turbines, generators, excitation systems, transformers, switch gear, governor systems, overhead power, annunciation systems, voltage regulators, circuit breakers, protective relay systems, motor control equipment, power electronics, programmable logic controllers, intrusion detection, telecommunication systems (inside and outside plant), and any rehabilitation specific systems. If you have at least 3 years’ recent experience working with the inspections listed, preferably on U.S. Army Corp of Engineers projects, you are encouraged to apply. Duties: The QAR will be conducted IAW FAR Part 46.403(a)(6) Quality Assurance at the site of project performance in Oregon and Washington. Inspection of work will be officially recorded and the findings will be presented to the Government in written format.
Qualifications: QA Mechanical/Electrical must be qualified to perform inspections at construction sites for the types of construction stated herein. As a minimum, within the past six-years, he/she must have three years of continuous experience in the inspection of construction contract work for the type of work contemplated. QA must have familiarity with the USACE Safety and Health Requirements Manual, EM 385-1-1, and OSHA; the ability to work in adverse conditions for extended periods of time which may include foul weather; and the capability to prepare a variety of reports and perform basic field quality assurance tests.
