PV Manager

Project Solar is seeking an experienced PV Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team in the design, development, and implementation of solar power projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in photovoltaic systems and project management and will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of engineering for our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, manage, and motivate a team of PV Engineers, setting performance goals and providing regular feedback and coaching
• Oversee the entire PV engineering process, including scope, design, and installation choices
  • You will not directly oversee installation operations but will be expected to work with installation services on implementing and designing best practices
• Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the required quality standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, customer success, and operations, to deliver innovative solutions that meet the needs of our customers
• Develop and implement best practices for PV engineering and ensure that they are followed by the PV Engineering team
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in renewable energy and PV engineering and identify opportunities for the team to adopt and integrate new techniques
• Act as an advocate for the PV Engineering team and represent their needs and challenges to senior management and other stakeholders

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in PV engineering and/or project management
• Strong knowledge of photovoltaic systems and design principles
• Experience with project management software and tools
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
